Urban Bike Stop

Type: Year 2 Studio
Date: Fall 2019

The objective of this project was to design a 75 square metre public-access Green Building to serve as a temporary regenerative stop for bicyclists. It was to be within the environmentally sensitive Tollkeeper’s Park at 750 Davenport Road and designed in a way that it’s construction and continued existence would not impact the surrounding environment. It needed to explore innovative design ideas and materials while also prioritizing sustainable design and Water-Wise methods.

The design development took place over 5 weeks and culminated in a presentation with a site plan, 3D rendering, elevations, section, and descriptions of construction methods.
